It works well to replace the one that came with the original Breville machine. The only knock is that it does not have the piece that would hold the filter inside the portafilter to use against a knockbox. Otherwise, it is a great product.

It fits my Breville Cafe Roma perfectly (it's the same portafilter). I bought this with the «Breville single wall 2-cup filter» to step up my espresso game. Combine this with a good grinder, a good 51mm tamper and you will will see what this machine is really capable of!
