Used only two times and the coating on the bottom was worn out showing the metal. It's not like chipped of piece - the coating smoothly worn out, as if it was polished too much. My two old dough hooks lasted for more than 5 years with intensive bread baking before their enamel started to chip off. But this new dough hook's enamel worn out after using it only two times. I received it about three weeks ago. Checked if the tip was touching the bottom of the bowl, but it wasn't. At the first day I used it I noticed it was a bit hard to get it into the mixer, but I thought it's new and maybe it would break in. Second time it went in fine. I suspect that the dough hook gets a bit loose while beating and touches the bottom of the bowl. I haven't used it since. Very disappointed. I know returning would be useless as the shipping I think won't be reimbursed.
